SUMMARY:Edible & Medicinal plant walk + make your own herbal pine remedy
DESCRIPTION:In this herbal class we will go on a plant walk \, weather dependent\, to learn about the edible and medicinal plants that are growing all around us. Very common herbs and trees can be some of our best allies in health. We will also be learning various ways to make herbal preparations and participants will leave with some plant material and a container in which to make their own plant remedies using what they’ve learned in class. \nClass will meet at Stillwell’s Emporium in Stone Mountain Village @ 945 Main Street. \n  \nYour Instructor: \nSusan Edwards has grown up amoung the wildflowers and weeds\, exploring nature her whole life.  From playing in the creeks of Oklahoma to the piedmont forests of the South East region here in Georgia. With numerous degrees in the natural sciences and environmental education her passion is teaching others about the myriad of virtues in our beautiful natural world. She enjoys being in nature with her husband and their two young children and teaching nature based homeschool classes for the homeschool communities with the program they co founded\, Sound of Nature School.  Her plant spirit medicines can be found for sale at Stillwells Emporium too. She feels at home in the world of herbalism and nature in general and considers herself a life long learner of this realm.
